In the world of Ancient Greece, religion was present in all areas of life. Greek religion was derived from many sources, including old Minoan beliefs, Central Asian gods that the Indo- Europeans brought to Greece, and West Asian Ideas that they borrowed from their neighbours. The main focus of Greek Religion was the belief that there were spirits and gods that could control anything that would happen to you. Most people also believed the gods could be controlled through sacrifice, prayer, and living a good life free from sin. The religion included formal rituals, myths, worshiping in temples, and festivals.
